Create a Bouquet Pop-Up Valentine’s Day Card with the Love Potion!
Hello, friends! Ronnie here, sharing a beautiful and romantic flower bouquet pop-up card using the stunning red and pink hues of the Love Potion collection. In the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, I have seen many variations of this style of card circulating on social media, so I thought this collection provided the perfect opportunity to create my own.
Step 1: Preparing the Base
For the inside of the card, I used the solid TN papers, cutting them into 4x4 inch squares. Each piece is folded three times. You will need seven pieces in total. I recommend using printed paper for this step, as I initially used cardstock and found it quite difficult to fold.
Step 2: Crafting the Flowers
Next, I created the flowers by drawing a petal shape onto the paper and cutting it out. To ensure uniformity, I used the first cutout as a template for the remaining six flowers. After cutting out a single petal from each flower, I added detailing with a pen and then assembled each the flowers by gluing two petals together. Repeat this process seven times.
Step 3: Assembling the Bouquet
Now it’s time to adhere the flowers together. I have marked a "G" in my photos to indicate where the glue should be applied—only at the very tip of the petal. This ensures flexibility and allows the bouquet to pop up smoothly.
Step 4: Attaching the Bouquet to the Card
I used a standard 5.5 x 4.25-inch card base, which conveniently allowed me to use one of the TN papers for the front cover, as they are already 4.25 inches wide. After glueing the bouquet inside, the card began to take shape beautifully.
Step 5: Finishing Touches
Once the bouquet was in place, I trimmed any uneven edges with scissors for a polished look. Opening and closing the card is so fun! I also added a small banner inside, leaving space for a little message to my husband on Valentine’s Day.
Step 6: Decorating the Card Front
For the front panel, I used the TN papers along with stickers from the collection to create a fairly straight forward design. To add dimension, I mounted the stickers on foam tape and finished the look with Stickles for a touch of sparkle.
This project was such a joy to create, and I hope it inspires you to craft a special card for your loved one this Valentine’s Day! Happy crafting!
