Build a Love Potion Mini Album with a Single 12” x 12”
I knew right away when I saw Traci Reed’s newest collection Love Potion that I wanted to make a little mini album for my hubby for Valentine’s Day!
The sentiments and patterns are just a bit quirky and fun – just like my guy. I love the many options for alphabets in this collection – I used the bead letters and the heart letters for the cover. Added a bit of ribbon and an adorable metal charm that perfectly matched the potions theme!
I have a pattern for an easy to make mini album made with just 1 sheet of 12” x 12” cardstock. This is a pattern to use for many occasions – a mini trip, a grandma brag book or something to share between gal pals after a fun getaway weekend. You really can add a lot of pics to your album - or just add a few and use pretty pattern papers and decorative cards to fill it up!
I selected a group of pictures from 2024 of me and the hubby and made them all black & white using the filter that is just built into my iPhone – no need to make it too complicated!
Speaking of not making it complicated – I finally sat down this weekend and figured out Print & Cut on my Silhouette – Traci’s YouTube video made it so easy. To think I had been fussy cutting all the elements before…. Don’t be intimidated it really is so simple! After I had all the elements cut, I also made it simple by printing the 4” x6” pattern cards from the PDF which is included in the Pattern Cards download file.
I printed all my pics at 4” x 6” and then just trimmed them down ¼” so that I could still see the fun patterns. I made 2 slide in pockets so I shrunk down 2 cards and 2 photos to 2” x 3” and then I attached a 3” x 4” wide piece of pattern paper and created a full size pocket to add a few more photos. All in all I have 14 photos in my album with several spots for journaling (I added it after I took all the photos!)
I added lots of the elements on photos and added a few more bits or ribbon and twine for added textures.

Hope this gives you lots of ideas for a mini album to document your love!
