One of the things I love about the smitten collection is that it includes more than just the traditional pink and red combination found in most valentine or love themed collections. The addition of the teal blue green in this collection has my heart. I pulled some of that teal blue green into this page documenting this cute photo of my favorite boys.

I found the color combinations and patterns of this kit incredibly easy to work with. The addition of Tiffany blue was the perfect touch to complement this photo. The patterns scaled effortlessly, whether enlarged or reduced, without becoming overwhelming or fading away.

Smitten is such a fun lovey dovey collection! And when I think of lovey dovey I think of hearts. Lots of hearts. I would love to say I came up with the design of my layout on my own, but I did not. I used a template from Designed by Soco! The page came together super easily. The patterned papers in this collection are great to work with, perfect for mixing and stacking.

My photos were quite dark, so I decided to add a stamped paint piece on the top of the biggest photo with the Krispy Kreme sign. I balanced the heaviness on the right side of the page by creating a vertical cluster. Two small clusters at the top left and the bottom right completed the composition. I also added journaling on labels at the top of the photos, and then balanced that out with more journaling on a label on the left bottom and a couple of text focused embellishments on the bottom right.

I gasped when I first laid eyes on Smitten! I adore that pop of baby blue in this collection and I wanted to create all of the things with it. I went digging into some old baby photos of my youngest daughter and found some of her wearing a smocked blue dress with pink accents that this collection complimented perfectly!!
