Focus On: Equinox
Happy Oldies But Goodies Tuesday! It’s that time again where I take one of my favorite collections and show you why I love it so, AND mark it down a whopping 50% off so you can grab it and play too!
Today, we’re ushering in that gorgeous in-between time of Summer and Autumn with the Equinox collection! You know that time of year when it’s not quite either season? Equinox captures the joy and beauty of the in-between!

I wanted to document this photo of me, my sister, and my first cousin at the Greater Gulfcoast Arts Festival, and the Equinox collection was perfectly themed. Even though in our photo we have on black and white (with one pop of red), by using bold black stitching and a classic black typewriter font along with dark navy blue elements from the Equinox collection, the photos seamlessly integrate with the autumnal color theme. Additional decorative elements and journaling areas on labels and tags are strategically placed to balance out the visual interest of the layout.

Equinox is literally the perfect collection to say goodbye to Summer and welcome Fall. I couldn’t think of a better layout than to use it to document a few of my favorite seasonal treats that have all the Fall Vibes! I used the super fun floral paper as my background and created a wonky Polaroid shape to back my photos and my title using the gorgeous yellow textured paper in this collection.

I have several fall photos I have yet to scrap so the Equinox kit by Traci was perfect. I chose to go with a larger photo with a smaller photo. I placed the elements mostly around smaller photos while keeping the larger photo as the main focal point.

“Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies.” Always my favorite line from You’ve Got Mail, and I must confess, I am obsessed with NYC in the fall. I wanted to keep this layout that is my love letter to NYC in the fall simple, but bursting with fall colors and vibes. Equinox is perfect for that, because it SCREAMS fall, but it also lets you scrapbook photos that might not already scream fall — like posing in front of the NYC library! But I had to throw in the grid paper, just as that nod to the school supplies Joe Fox talks about!
