December Daily 2023: Story six
Story Six
For story six, my bestie won tickets to opening night of Jagged Little Pill at the Tennessee Theater and I was lucky enough to get to go with her! I wanted to incorporate the playbill into the spread, so I ended up with 3 pages for this one instead of a single spread.

The opening page features two large photos of the event, one of the stage and another blurry and imperfect one of us outside the venue. I added “Opening Night” and a few embellishments from A Christmas Village: Tinsel Town Square by Kristin Cronin-Barrow to our photo and mounted it on acetate on which I printed one of the papers from the same collection. To give it a little frill, I stapled purple trim to the outside edge.
On the photo of the stage, I used a technique I saw Ali use on her day 3 video of a card that flips up to reveal your journaling and on the outside I created a card that included the story number, snowflakes, stars and a word bit on top of two papers I blended together from the Tinsel Town Square kit. The inside has my journaling of course and another photo from the production.
On the back side of the acetate, I adhered the playbill (don’t worry I grabbed two) so that it opens and you can read the show details.
I also went ahead and removed all the add pages from the booklet so that it wouldn’t be as thick (and annoying) in my album.
Lastly, I finished out the spread with a pocket page featuring more photos, my ticket stub, and a journal card created from the Tinsel Town Square kit!
