Adorable VW Bug Mini Album featuring the Flower Child Collection with Luly!
Over the years, I have determined that I am a theme girl for my scrapbooking. I especially love using one collection for mini albums, since I treat them as a “snapshot” in time. A few weeks ago, all my scrapping buddies got together for a weekend getaway. We had 2 special things to celebrate – one being my big milestone birthday! We of course had to be a little extra and chose a 60’s theme… and Traci’s Flower Child kit was absolutely perfect to help document the fun!
I chose a fun metal die cut set – a VW Van Bus that goes perfectly with Traci’s collection. There are lots of ways to get this same look – I know there is also a similar Van Bus shape in the Silhouette and Cricut design stores. The overall size is about 4” x 5”, not including the rings. The multi-color binding rings are available on Amazon.
I cut out a bunch of pieces from this set using the TN papers, just using the pdf that Traci includes in every kit. I was able to cut several pieces from each pattern that I just printed at home. No special digital skills required! I also did the same with the Stickers kit – using the option “Fussy Cut”. There is a super light grey line that tells you where to cut and I find it very therapeutic. I do have a Silhouette but as I’ve said before I need to spend some time learning how to do Print & Cut. Traci has some great Tutorials on YouTube that are super helpful. I did lots of mixing and matching for each Van plus I added a few pieces of cardstock that matched the collection perfectly.
For each page I created a front & back bus so that I created a pocket for each page. This gives you the opportunity to add slightly bigger and more photos to your mini album.
The whole weekend was so much fun – we dressed up and gave each other cute little 60’s themed goodies – so even created pages with some stickers and even a napkin that I created as a background. I pulled out fibers and eyelets from my stash plus some Simple Stories enamel dots that I bought to match Traci’s collection.
I had so much fun documenting my birthday scrapping weekend using Traci’s Flower Child collection using this fun shaped die to create an adorable mini album.
