Tutorial: Four Ways to Create with Word Art by Emiley!
When I looked at the Radiate Joy collection, I fell in love with all of the “wordy bits” - the title pieces, the quotes, the labels. I didn’t know how I was going to choose which one I wanted to work with…and then I decided not to choose! I decided to create a layout using all the wordy bits to make a unique and fun standout title for my layout.
I wanted to have some variety with the words and parts of the title, so I created them in different ways. I printed a few of the quotes straight onto the background paper.
I printed the woodgrain words several times on cardstock and then glued them together in a stack to give them more of a chipboard feel.
I used glossy accents on a few of the title pieces to give them more of an acrylic look.
I printed a few labels on sticker paper and I raised one of the wordy bits up on foam tape. I think using the variety of techniques in printing/creating the wordy bits gave the large title a lot more interest and really helps it to make a statement on the page!
