Karidan - Smitten
Normally I twist or flip sketches and change them all around but this one I loved! And the only thing I did was shrink it down to 6x8 size. I even used the edges of the hearts to define the edges and I did cut it down to just one photo since I did shrink the size down of the layout! Always such a pleasure working with Traci’s sketches!
Luly - Over The Moon
I loved this week’s sketch. I spend a lot of time documenting my kids and don’t highlight my hubby as much as I should. I loved the colors of the Over The Moon collection & I knew it would be perfect with these large hearts! I chose to document our 1st official “empty nesters” vacation from last summer. My hubby has a goofy face – but that’s him all the time as he gets super animated when he is talking, lol! And yes, we highly recommend the Smoked Meat sandwich – it was fantastic!
Noemi - Bountiful
This sketch screams 'love is in the air'! The heart design inspired me to create something filled with love, and I decided to celebrate family love, drawing inspiration from the Bountiful collection. I liked the sketch design so much that I reproduced it almost identically, using one of my favorite techniques, repetition. There are never enough hearts!
Isn't the versatility of Bountiful amazing? It's perfect for documenting our Valentine's Day memories!
Ronelia - Over The Moon
I loved this sketch and tried to follow it pretty closely. I knew I wanted a white background so I was looking at ways I can add more papers to the hearts and came up with this distressed cut out idea. I don’t actually use the silhouette cutfile, instead I used one of the hearts from the Sticker pack as a cutfile template. This was very easy, I just dragged and drop the heart into Silhouette Studio and changed the size before sending it to be cut. I hand drew and cut the patterned paper pieces. Then I accidentally stuck my hearts down too low on the page which is why I have that strip of patterned paper at the top of the page – to balance it out. I like how it brings in a bit more colour and more opportunity to use the stickers!
