TRD Presents: 4x4 Friday Lives: Episode #3

It’s TRD 4x4 Friday Live week number three, and this week I created a fun grid layout while tackling the Grab 5 challenge! The Grab 5 products were chosen by the viewers during the kick off party and included the yellow card stock, string, sequins, washi and glitter!

I managed to get them all in one page, and the result is so fun!

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, during the entire month of August, I’m scrapbooking LIVE on YouTube every Friday night at 9 PM EST and at the kickoff party, we rolled the dice to find out what the challenges were going to be all month long!

I loved starting with the basic grid design and then, as always “breaking the grid” with something that doesn’t align to make the page more interesting. In this case, it was the journal/title tag combo at the bottom of the page I created with a combination of products from the kit!

In lieu of actual glitter, of which I don't have a lot, I used this cool coppery glitter paste through a heart stencil, making it puff up with my heat gun while drying, and then added some of the Sunkissed sequins that Spiegelmom Scraps created for me - they were a perfect match!

I also incorporated the twine by wrapping three of my photos in different colors, varying the direction for interest, and then used washi to tape down some of my photos, creating a more collaged effect.
