Scraplift Saturday - Digital Team Member Cheryl!

Happy Happy Saturday everyone! Today we get the honor of scraplifting my dear friend and AMAZING digital scrapbooker, Cheryl! Cheryl is so great at digital scrapbooking that she makes digital templates for other scrapbookers to mimic her style and scrolling through her gallery (and store!) to choose a layout to lift was a real treat!

Traci - Here Comes The Sun

Cheryl and I have been friends for so many years and I have ALWAYS been in awe of her amazing gallery! A true digital scrapper, her pages are layered up with so much goodness that your eye can’t pick a place to start with all the eye candy! I knew I had to choose a layout with a strong design to be able to translate that into a hybrid Life Crafted page, so I chose one with an amazing collage of hexagons and even mimicked the theme of her layout too!

Danica - Galentines

I love everything Cheryl created so it was very hard to pick just one layout to lift! That being said, I had the Galentines collection on my radar for awhile. I also had a photo of Watson from when she was a kitten that I had been saving to scrap with something special. I thought why not now?!?

I knew I wanted to keep the photo large because it was so cute. My mission was to find a layout from Cheryl with a large photo spot. It didn’t take long to find one that was perfect for what I wanted to work with.

Instead of a star covered with elements, I switched it up and used a heart instead. I applied a style from Mommyish to it make it a bit more fancy. After that it was pretty much a straight lift. I just applied some embellishments to the heart like Cheryl did to her star. I opted not to cover the whole heart with embellishments and added a word strip in the center of it.

Eve - The Love List

I love looking at Cheryl's layouts because there are so many things in her page. Most of the times they are scattered around the page and sometimes they are more clustered like this page that I lifted. It's a straight lift where I started with the photo and played (stacked) with other elements on the side. Cheryl not only used elements but also tags, wordstrips and stamps for her cluster. Journaling is not my strong point so all these wordstrips really help me to deliver the story of my layout.

Leah - Keep Chasing Rainbows + On The Go & Going Slow

I knew I wanted to scraplift this 12x12 layout, but in a smaller format. It also had two photos which is what I planned to use. I loved the idea of cutfiles behind the photos and I liked how the title was off to the side.

It was difficult to pick a page from Cheryl’s amazing gallery but after a couple days of browsing, I finally settled with her layout aptly titled “Ridiculously Cute.” First off, the photo is just darling. The layered papers shadowed perfectly give great dimension. Notice the torn paper on the background? I love how it adds texture. Finally, the mix and placement of elements provide the perfect anchor to her adorable subject.
