Recycling a Tea Box Into a Mini Album with Evy!
Hello creative friends!
It's been a while since I showed you an album of mine and the time has come, I absolutely had to celebrate my favorite time of year, autumn/Halloween/Christmas. It will be 3 months full of projects and decorations because I love everything about this time.
I inaugurate the period with this box/album which will contain the photos of this autumn. I didn't want anything complicated and I have a lot of boxes (more or less large) in the craft room, so I thought I'd alter one of the thousand tea boxes I have.
I started by painting the box with white acrylic paint and after giving it 2 coats (let a day pass between one layer and another) I printed my favorite papers and embellishments from the Equinox collection. I can't resist plaid patterns and I immediately thought of using this paper for the cover, I also used it to cover the inside.
Inside the lid I placed a heart and a diecuts with a fun play on words; instead on the cover I simply stamped the number 2023, the autumn diecuts and some blank leaves. Don't you find that they give a touch of light and the leaves look exactly like those of patterned paper.?
At this point I colored the edges of the paper with a distress oxide (rustic wilderness) and I used the same color to shade the white edges of the box.
For the inside I used a Heidi Swapp die ( ) and the papers from the collection to create pockets where I will insert photos and stories of autumn.
To decorate the internal pockets I intend to use lots of leaves and sticker cards with numbers, aren't they adorable?
I hope you liked this idea, I find it simple and suitable for any occasion.
See you on social media for the internal photos,
xoxo, Evy
