October Daily 2022: Days 16-22

Still plugging along in my October Daily! Here are days 16-22!

Day 16

Every year I love to make a list of my faves for fall in my October Daily, and normally it’s variants on the same theme, which I think is a fun consistency in my albums!

For this page, I paired that gorgeous TN Insert from the Doodles & Dashes 2 Collection from Cocoa Daisy with the matching planner paper to create this simple page with a pocket for a tag with hidden journaling!

The stamp I used is also from Cocoa Daisy from an earlier 2022 collection!

Day 17

Dia De Los Muertos is a fascinating holiday to me and I love the idea that one night a year we leave our loved ones gifts and they can come visit us. It's so sweet and such a wonderfully respectful holiday.

I'm as pasty as white can be, but my husband has LatinX heritage, so he feels a sentimental pull to everything Dia De Los Muertos themed and I love picking up little bits and pieces this time of year to have in our home year round.

For this page, I used the "Day of the Dead" digital kit by Blagovesta Gosheva and to jazz up that gorgeous paper, I embossed the flowers with holographic glitter and an embossing pen. It gives it just that little bit of extra sparkle!

Day 18

Trying to get decent photos in a crowded zoo with two kids that are hopped up on candy is like trying to catch sand in a mesh strainer, but I did my best!

These photos are so vibrant (thanks to Finn's costume) that they matched perfectly with the few Spooky Stories Foundation Pages I have left!

Nothing earth-shattering here, just some good old-fashioned memory keeping 😍

Day 19-20

One part of me wants to read all the scary books and the other part of me wants to read all the cozy witchy romances.

WITCH team are you on?

I really wanted to keep the integrity of the bottom half of the paper on the right hand side as much as possible, so I decided to build on the theme with rub ons from the kit!

I’m to the point in my album where I’m filling in gaps and holes with little stories to make the whole thing flow, so I had these Spooky Stories Foundation Pages just hanging out in the middle of my album (on the back of another page) waiting for a story and these two stories fit perfectly!

I love the Instax sized pocket protectors for a little variety!

Sadly, these hot chocolate bombs from Trader Joe’s were just meh so they didn’t warrant a big spread in my album, which makes the story perfect for the single page in the back of the first album for October Daily (yes, I have at least two albums every year….see this reel for an explanation LOL.

Side Note: WHY do they make hot chocolate for just 8 oz of milk? WHO DRINKS ONLY 8 OZ OF HOT CHOCOLATE?!

Days 21-22

I've got another 2-for-1 set of spreads for days 21 & 22 because I kept my first pages with my Autumn Enchantment collection super simple and did these two spreads together because they're telling different stories of the same event!

One of my favorite hacks is printing papers on transparency. How gorgeous is that plaid??

For the second page, I started by adding some of the digital stamps included in Autumn Enchantment collection to my large photo before printing and then I didn’t have to do anything with that side after printing - it was already done!

I created a 3x8 insert using the TN signatures and then made a pocket for the front using a 3x4 patterned card and some stickers for my photo strip.

On the back is a 3x8 photo and the last page has my journaling and another photo. Again, a really simple set of pages that let the photos shine!
