No Stress December Daily Prep 2023: Day Four
Last year, my No-Stress December Daily Prep series was SO popular, I decided to bring it back again this year! I think we all get to a point where this project and all the inspiration available can overwhelm us, so I like to create a few easy pages and projects each year that I can use as jumping off points if I wish.
Nothing stressful, no crazy tools, just some good old fashioned filler pages that can hopefully inspire your pages too!
Use these ideas as-is or as a jumping off point for more complex pages if you wish!
Welcome to Day Four of my No Stress December Daily Prep series! Today I’m using the Oh What Fun Collection and Warm Christmas Wishes printables from Citrus Twist Kits to make 5 pages and a heap of DIY Your Scraps embellishments!
My first project involved gasp embossing! I created this fun pocket page using the papers from the Oh What Fun collection, but the real star of the show is the tag!
I inked it with two different Catherine Pooler inks, and then embossed “season’s greetings” over and over on top with white embossing powder. The embossing got a little messy, but that’s ok because it was mostly getting covered up by the card/photo placeholder.
My next page is a little more complex (and half done - ha!) because I used an exacto knife to remove most of the squares from these two pages, leaving behind boxes and flaps in which to put my photos or patterned paper.
I embellished a few of the flaps and spaces, but since I don’t know what 'I’m going to do with this page yet, I decided to just jot down the sizes of the squares on the majority of the larger ones and leave it at that so that it could be open to interpretation down the line.
The last thing I did with this collection was use all the cool ephemera packs included to make some DIY Your Scraps layered embellishments!
Always a favorite thing to do that makes it easier down the line to make beautiful pages quickly. Technically though, I didn’t use any scraps for these, just ephemera included in the collection!
Now, when I saw the Warm Christmas Wishes printables coming 12/1 to CTK, I KNEW they had to be part of this video because of the gorgeous color! Obviously, warm Christmas stuff doesn’t apply to me, but the colors are just so good that I printed what DID and made 2 foundation pages with it!
This banner page is just darling!
My second page was another tag page, because I love them, but just look at how cuuute those Santas are!
