No Stress December Daily Prep 2023: Day Three
Last year, my No-Stress December Daily Prep series was SO popular, I decided to bring it back again this year! I think we all get to a point where this project and all the inspiration available can overwhelm us, so I like to create a few easy pages and projects each year that I can use as jumping off points if I wish.
Nothing stressful, no crazy tools, just some good old fashioned filler pages that can hopefully inspire your pages too!
Use these ideas as-is or as a jumping off point for more complex pages if you wish!
Welcome to Day Three of my No Stress December Daily Prep series! Today I’m using the Happy Holidays collection I designed for Echo Park to make 3 pages and a heap of DIY Your Scraps embellishments!
The first project I decided to make was a cute little 4.5” mini album! It sits in the rings nicely, has a cover, and opens to reveal spots for 4x4 photos and a journaling card!
To make it, I just cut a 12x12 piece of cardstock to 4.5x12” and then scored at 4.5" and 9” to make 2 4,5x4,x5 squares and a 4x5x3” flap, then decorated with 4x6 cards and papers from the 6x6 pad. I also added on that cute chipboard tree and cut the patterned paper on the back to match the patterned paper that was already there.
I decided I definitely want to make sure I incorporate more page protectors this year, so I added this cute 2x2 one as well! Each square has a 2x4” piece of patterned paper folded over to create a flap to open.
I can add journaling, photos, whatever I like to the inside and the outside is decorated with stickers and chipboard for fun! The last thing I did was stick an acrylic snowflake from Color Cast Designs into the empty pocket for a fun see-through embellishment.
My third page is a 6x8 spread featuring tags on an angle made from the scraps I had left from the 2x2 page! I love the tag pages I’ve been seeing around, so I created my own take on it, leaving room for photos.
I added stickers and chipboard overlapping some of the tags and I thought that long convertible Santa would be perfect on this page!
Finally, I used the scraps from the 6x8 pad as well as all the cards and borders included in the 6x8 pad to create some journaling and title spots with the collection.
I just kind of let it flow with shapes and sizes for all the cards and journal spots, then went in and looked at them all together and decorated with the sticker pad. Sometimes the best way for me to work is in batches!
