My Whole World: Silhouette Fill Tutorial + Free Cut File!
Hey Everyone! Traci popping in today with a new layout, tutorial AND free gift! If you know me, you know I love making cut files for my own pages and giving them away free here on the site, and I couldn’t resist making this new one for my page using the Felicity collection and one of my favorite photos with my kids I’ve ever taken!
In the process video, I show you how to EASILY use my digital fils + this cut file in the Silhouette Studio software to print and cut those patterned letters in a snap!
But can we talk about the gorgeous details on this layout?!
Everything on this page is from the Felicity collection with the exception of the sequins and it came together in a snap! heck out that gorgeous mixed media that I hit the ultimate cheat code with and just printed it directly on card stock for my background.
To give the layout some depth, I popped these layered flowers up on foam tape!
Then lastly, I used the cut file itself as a guide to place my printed letters and voila! The finished project is perfect!
Check out the process video for an easy walk through on how you can do the same!
Process Video/Tutorial
Steps:
Open the “My Whole World” cut file in Silhouette Studio
Remove the full cut file from the canvas, leaving just the letters
Adjust the canvas size to letter and turn on the registration marks
Make sure all letters are fully on the canvas
Drag and drop patterned papers or cards (I used 3x4s) into each individual letter
To adjust the pattern, open the “fill” panel and click the pattern dialogue box
If you would like to resize the pattern, you can do so by adjusting the percentage here, just make sure not to go too big so it doesn’t get pixelated.
