Mini Album Monday - 3 Easy Mini Albums In Minutes!

Everybody loves a good mini album and Heather, Nicole and Stacy are bringing their inspiration A-game with these darling mini albums that look harder to put together than they are!

Heather - Aflutter

When I started thinking about ideas for this mini album, Traci’s Aflutter collection had just dropped, and I thought what would be more perfect than a mini butterfly shaped album?  I headed to my silhouette library to see if I had a good cut file, and sure enough, I did.  I created several different sizes of the cut file and cut two of each size so that I could layer the papers back to back.  Then I stitched around the outside of each butterfly, and stacked them all together and stitched up the middle to create the “book.”  I titled on the first page with a quote that I’ve always loved: “Little girls, like butterflies, need no excuse.”  I used a playful set of “antique” rub-ons to create the title. I have a love-hate relationship with rub-ons. Some of them didn’t play nicely, but I was able to fill in the gaps with a pink pen.

I resized several of my favorite photos of my daughters when they were little girls and put photos of my oldest daughter on the left side wings, and photos of my youngest on the right side wings.  Each side also has a few photos of them together.  Most of the photos were everyday moments. Playing outside in the summer, playing inside whenever, and a couple special recital day photos that I love.

After placing the photos, I added a few elements from the Aflutter stickers to each page, and then added some “antique” epoxy flower stickers, and some half pearl embellishments that are newcomers to my stash.  I also used some word stamps to add a few sentiments here and there throughout the album.

It’s a fun, playful mini album, that is sure to bring joy to all who look at it and remember the girls’ early years.

Nicole - The Love List

Hey all! Thanks for dropping in to read about my mini album created with the fabulous The Love List collection!  I have used this fun collection to do a little mini album of our trip to Disneyland back in March.  The colors and sentiments really are perfect for a Disney themed project!

I tried to make each page a little different and added some fun coordinating embellishments from my stash to make it complete.  This album is 4x6 in size and held together by some ring binders that I also have in my stash for mini albums.  I hope this project motivates you to use your Traci Reed Designs collections to make your own fun mini album!

Stacy - We The People

My mini album was a gift for my niece who recently has become obsessed with scrapbooking and had a trip with her 8th grade class to DC , so of course what else but a Traci Reed collection and a mini album to show her how easy this is !

In creating this album I used a simple Pepsi box for my foundation and drew a 5x7 template , then I grabbed my 2.5 circle punch and put a hole in the center for a visual offset. After that I decided to go through the collection and grab a bunch of the paper and print them on white card stock for the background.

I then put them together with my adhesive for a sturdy backing and used my tab punch with the extra paper and my stapler for a little mixed media on each page .

For the images I went through and put various ellies on from the collection and then I also added them after the fact but they were all printed on photo paper to add a pop of brilliance .

Then I printed them and added all of them to the album.

I also added to horizontal pockets in the album to hold extra pictures she took on the trip.

After I was done I used my mini cinch to bind the album and went back through with one of the solid papers from the collection and created journal blocks on card stock for her to journal all her trip memories on for future days- because what’s a photo without the story
