Jack & Skelly Halloween Flipbook Tutorial with Becky
This is a perfect little album if you need something flat to post or just don’t have a lot of storage space! Hybrid scrapbooking is perfect for this as all the embellisments are flat and so don’t make the pages bulky but have a big impact.
The first thing I did was to choose the papers I wanted to use. I used papers from the TN pack so that the patterns were a little smaller and cropped them to 6”x6” to save paper as I knew I didn’t need them any bigger. I printed these along with some journal cards, patterned cards and stickers.
Once this was done I grabbed a sheet of 12x12” black cardstock from my stash and scored it at 6” on two sides to quarter the page. I then cut up one of the score lines from the edge to the middle. This section I then cut 3” off and folded up to make a pocket. You can use the piece you cut off to make a pocket on another page.
Once I had done this I rounded the corners of all the pages.
Then it was time for the fun part - sticking! I cut each paper to 5.75” and rounded the corners then decided where to place them. I cut two pieces to 2.75”x5.75” to place over the pockets.
I tucked some of the journal cards into the pockets and will add photos and journalling to these, front and back. A couple I embellished with stickers.
Where I embellished on the pages I only stuck part of stickers down so that I will be able to tuck photos under the edge of the stickers if I want to.
I am really happy with how this album turned out and can’t wait to fill it with Halloween photos! The front cover is very flat too, making it ideal to pop in the post if I want to, however it would be very easy to add dimension to this if you are keeping it for yourself!
