Inky Ideas with Evy - Focus on Traveler's Notebook Signatures

Hi, I'm Evelyne but for my friends just Evy. I am happy and excited for my first solo post here on Traci's blog and I wanted to celebrate this "first time" by doing 2 projects in the traveler's notebook.

Those who follow me from my first steps in the scrap world know that Traveler’s Notebooks were my first love and marked my transition from the planner world to scrapbooking. Then many other things came, but the love for this format has never left me. I find that for me it is the most versatile format and that I love to combine more with digital kits for the possibility of infinite customizations.

In this post I really wanted to talk about 2 products that I love and that allow me to create simple and fast projects: the Traveler’s Notebook Signatures and the Journal Cards.

I used both for these projects the Goldenrod collection, which is my favorite this fall with its mix of colors and combination of autumn/Haloween themes. Specifically, I used the Traveler's Notebook Signatures, the Cards #3 and the stickers from the collection printed on paper. I added just a few stamps from my stash and 2 patterned papers and number from the October Mood collection.

In the first project I used the TN signature as a title adding just 2 embellishments but I gave depth by matching under an orange paper from October Mood that takes up the colors of the photo and the right page. Here, in fact, I chose a white background to avoid a project that was too dark and I played with a card under the photo and a frame from the collection. Some stamps from my personal collection went to complete the project.

On the second page I wanted a sense of continuity with the previous one and I chose to keep the same colors. I glued the photos directly on white cardstock (but superimposed on a black paper from the October Mood collection). I cut out the "Be Very Afraid" tag from a card to create a door effect. As a title in this project this time I used a card superimposed on a Tn signature. I added some stamps and the number 31.

On both pages I shaded simple black ink on the edges for a creepy effect. I love these little details in projects that make them special with little effort.

I hope you liked this post and it will inspire you for your projects.

Good creativity to all,

Evy
