Haunting 4 x 6 (ish) Mini Album with Heather
For this project, I thought about making some kind of October Daily mini album. I decided on a 4 x 6 size, and I printed 2 of each of the 4 x 6 printed cards. I thought about using the numbers and little day tags that are in the sticker sheets, but really didn’t have a solid idea of what I wanted to do. Later, the reality of who I am set in. I have never started and finished a December Daily or an October Daily, and it’s kind of intimidating to think about quite honestly. I didn’t really want to have yet another unfinished project sitting on some shelf in my craft room, so I went looking for other options. I found a great tutorial for making a 4.5 x 6 flip book mini album, so that’s what I ended up doing. You can find the tutorial that I watched HERE
I created all of my base pieces with black cardstock, and then made generous use of the Haunting 4 x 6 patterned cards, and a couple of the travelers notebook papers too.
I trimmed down the 4 x 6 cards slightly to fit them on the base spots and usually added a second trimmed down 4 x 6 card to each spot to add a little more interest.
I also used a few of the 3 x 4 cards to create two tip-ins with journaling space.
I used an additional 3 x 4 card to create a simple embellishment next to a spot for a photo.
I love the bright, cheery colors in this collection paired with the black. It gives a fun, whimsical feel to the album.
There are a couple of pocket pages, and I inserted more 3 x 4 cards and a few tags in each pocket as you could definitely give this album as a gift with some extra fun goodies in the pockets. The pockets could also be used to put additional photos or journaling in.
