Goldenrod Gratitude Album With Theresa!
Hi friends, Theresa here with a very simple November Gratitude album to share with you. Last year I created this album with just Foundation Pages – you can see those posts here: Part 1 and Part 2. Today I can share the completed pages with you, and make sure you read all the way to the end where I will share a few tips for completing your Gratitude albums even if it’s a year later.
My approach for this album was very simple, because this album falls right in between October Daily and December Daily. I was a bit skeptical about my ability to keep up throughout the month, so keeping the pages to a formula is extremely helpful. With the foundation pages completed, all I really had to do was print photos + add journaling. I also printed just one collection: Goldenrod. I love the subdued color palette and the gorgeous fall themes included in the collection, and it also has such a great variety of journal cards and travelers notebook signatures that it easily filled this album right up. Adding my stories was very quick simply because the album was already cohesive!
My stories themselves are stories of the people, places and things I was particularly thankful for that month. I had plenty of photos on my phone to help remember – and document on these pages. For each page I kept it to the photo, a title that represented my list, and very minimal embellishment. It was also helpful to batch the completion process by printing several photos at a time and then sitting down to enjoy the creative process.
I did a walkthrough of this album on my YouTube channel. You can view Days 1-7 here:

It’s so wonderful to have this snapshot of November documented! I realized that I actually had quite a few wonderful things to be thankful for that had never really been documented before, and I am excited to do this project again. Here are a few tips I’ve learned on this journey:
Take photos of everything. Photos are a great reminder of the things you were interested in, the moments you loved. Those photos will jog your memory any time you look at them, and so your journaling can come from your photos any time, whether it’s that day or a year later.
Keep a running list on your phone or on your desk throughout the month. I do this with October Daily and December Daily too, because it helps me stay on track and also to see as the month goes if I’m missing a chunk somewhere.
If you’re missing a chunk, no need to panic or ditch the project altogether! You can always journal without a photo, or borrow a photo from another time. Include memories and photos from the past! Include memories of loved ones who have passed on.
You don’t have to go all the way to the end of the month. If you want to just do 15 stories of gratitude, that would be perfect and just as meaningful as 24 or 30. As with any memory keeping project, you can make it in the way that works with your style, your life, and your schedule.
While I am traditionally the kind of scrapbooker who loves to add all the things to my pages, for this project I felt like simplicity is important. The theme is gratitude, and therefore I wanted my focus to remain on the topic of each page, not on the product. Goldenrod is such a gorgeous backdrop that doesn’t complete with any photos and flows beautifully!
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey through November! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year – with so many things to be thankful for.
