Focus On: Renewal
Hey Hey Hey! It’s Oldies But Goodies time again and this week’s 50% off collection is perfect for January and all your goals: Renewal!
I don’t know about you, but the new year always feels like a reset for me. Not even in the typical “New Year’s resolutions” way but in mindset, in clearing out of old things, of reclaiming my space and time. The Renewal Collection is about just that - renewing, refreshing, reclaiming. You don’t have to set resolutions to love this fresh and inspired collection!
In a stunning and original color palette of Navy, Periwinkle, Lilac, Silver, and Mustard iwht touches of distressing and mixed media throughout, the Renewal collection is inspiring and fresh and will revitalize your album after a month of red and green!

After looking through all the fun goodies in the Renewal collection I knew I wanted to make a sort of planner dashboard that would be ½ vision board, ½ plan of attack for my 2024.
Before I printed out two my Traveler's Notebook Signatures whose quotes perfectly matched what I was going for, I added subheaders using the Filled with Intention digital stamps. I really wanted to fake layers and depth without adding bulk so I added washi and sprinkles from the digital scrapbook collection to my page where I knew I wanted my photos to go.
I love how the "vellum speech bubbles" (also from the digital scrapbook collection) make perfect journaling spots for my bullet points. To embellish them, I made sure each section had one of the flowers, stars, hearts, and a little phrase from the stickers.
In the first section, I had created this little flip up and so I made sure to use this sticker for a little more embellishment on the inside.
Lastly, I created a few little clusters on the top and bottom of the left hand page to add some interest and make your eye flow through the spread.

I love the Renewal collection that Traci designed last year so when I saw it was this weeks featured collection I just HAD to create something new! I challenged myself to step away from the “new beginnings” theme and then I chose to work with the greys and yellows in this collection. One of my all time favourite colour combos! I ended up throwing in some of the dark blue for a bit of extra contrast and ended up with a mixed media layout celebrating the last ever day of my boys being at the same primary school together back in 2021.
