Focus On: Hearth & Hollow

Happy Oldies But Goodies Tuesday! It’s that time again where I take one of my favorite collections and show you why I love it so, AND mark it down a whopping 50% off so you can grab it and play too!

It’s nearly Thanksgiving here in the US and there’s no better time to celebrate the Hearth & Hollow collection than now! The name “Hearth and Hollow” is a play on the phrase “hearth and home” but with home changed to “hollow” because of all the adorable woodsy animal illustrations included in this gratitude collection. Where do animals make their home? Why over there in that holler’ yonder, of course! At least here in the south ;)

Hearth and Hollow is the perfect natural and homey gratitude collection perfect for the season with pumpkins, doodled frames, cross stitching, homes, food and more! Everything you need to celebrate the season!

I really love the warm colors in the Hearth & Hollow collection!  I printed out a variety of papers from the Travelers Notebook paper pack to create my pie chart on my background.  I also printed out my title words from the collection embellishments and added a variety of the sticker die cuts to finish off my layout.

I love to do some stitching in my layouts. In this one I¥ve used two beautiful collections: Hearth and Hollow and some elements from Wildflower. If the colors match and the photos, go for the mix!

Hearth and Hollow was not a collection I had ever used before and now I’m wondering why not! It’s gorgeous and perfect for recording those autumn days and family times. I printed out two of the TN signatures and added some strips of patterned paper to make them fit my TN. I loved the oval on the left hand paper and used my Silhouette to cut the photo to the same shape. I used the numbers from the digital kit and cut them 3 times and layered them to give them some depth. I concentrated on the flower embellishments for this spread and actually covered the pumpkin on the left side with a flower cluster as it made more sense for my layout. A few gems from my stash and some splashes of white ink finished off this spread which I love!

Autumn collections are my absolute favourite, I just love all of the rich colours and the addition of the little critters in the Hearth & Hollow collection made this ideal choice for documenting our family photo session in the woods with our puppy. The gorgeous floral elements and leaves matched our surroundings perfectly.

Hearth and Hollow is one of my favorite collections from Traci! It has such a great mix of elements and I adore her patterned papers. I don’t take a lot of autumn photos so I decided to go off theme with my page. Here are Sherlock and Watson being cozy! I did tweak the. colors in her “Cozy” title so that it would pop off the page. The template I used was from Fiddle Dee Dee!
