December Daily 2020: Day 17
It’s THE Day! Day 17 of December Daily features The Big Guy himself! I heard our mall Santa was socially distanced so I dragged EVERYONE down to the mall - teenagers included - to get what will HOPEFULLY be the ONLY Pandemic Santa photo in our history!
I had 1/2 of a spread to work with, due to the other stories I’m telling, so I needed to figure out a way to incorporate multiple photos and cards and die cuts into one spread.
I created this front pocket in one of my advent videos and it was perfect for this spread - like I planned it! ;). I stuck the silly photo of Finn and I in there on the tag.
I adhered the fun card that says “I think Santa put us ALL on the Naughty List this year” to the back of that, matted on two papers from the #StayHome for the Holidays collection, and then kept the MOST HILARIOUS SANTA PHOTO EVER (at least to me) simple and large, just embellishing with one of the circles I made with Kristin’s collection in my Advent video series.
Do you see their shifty eyes? It was totally unplanned, and an outtake they didn’t show me and I didn’t see until I got home and accessed the digital files. That photo, paired with that card, is PERFECTION!
I needed a spot for journaling still and had a couple more photos I wanted to include, so I created a pocket out of the main large photo by adhering it strategically to the photo behind it (check out the process video for details) and added in this card that had another pocket I made in the advent series for journaling, and another photo on the front.
And then one of the garbage prints from the studio and another funny card on the back! I love interactive elements in my DD albums!
