Crafty Corner with Allie - DIY Daily Journal

Hey scrappy friends! Allie from Allie Scraps here to share a project with you today using Traci’s amazing printables. 

One of my New Year’s goals (not Resolutions -- goals can be year over year!) is to daily journal more. I love the results that come from me sitting down and daily journaling -- both mental health wise, and stretching the creative muscle that comes from “playing” every day.  Over the past few years, I’ve adopted a fun and creative style of daily journaling that also involves using the STACK of printables I have in my stash-- I love that I can use those bits instead of hoarding. 

To start off this new journal for this year (and it doesn’t have to be a New Year journal! I started mine late in January, start when you’re ready!) I used a Traveler’s Notebook Composition book with dot grid pages, and decided to use the gorgeous new Renewal kit to declare a “theme” for the book and give me a more limited color palette to work from-- this way, I can also pack up a “travel kit” for my daily journaling with limited supplies and work on this when I’m in the school pick up line or at my kids’ 8,000 doctors appointments. 

I decorated the cover with stickers from the planner kit,  and did a couple of “title pages” with the Traveler’s Notebook Signatures because I’m just always obsessed with the designs and the BIG impact they make in the books. Then onto my journaling, that I mixed in with another 3x4 card, as well as more stickers from the planner parts of the kit!

I’m excited to be diving back into this daily practice of mine and excited to use the Renewal kit to jump start more of my creativity! 

P.S. I also used some cards from the Filled With Intention kit, and the sentiments and the kit mesh really well together with Renewal! Check your stash and use them together!
