Crafty Corner with Allie - Creating a Passport-Sized Folio for Mini Notebooks
For the last several years, I’ve been obsessed with the mini “passport” sized notebooks. I collected all the leather-like folios that I could (Webster’s Pages were my favorites, back in the day!) but I also wanted to make more that were more personal, and used lines that I wanted to display front and center.
I’ve done this with a few Traci Reed collections already, but they were pretty simple-- just using the papers, and I would add embellishments myself. For this one, I wanted to combine more of my digital scrapbooking and embellishment right on the front, before I even printed out the pages to put this together!
To build the “base” of the folio, I used this template and just created right in there with the Filled With Intention collection. I then printed it double sided with another paper on cardstock, and then cut out all of the pieces. I put them “back” together and laminated them, being sure to leave space between the pieces to act as a “hinge.” Laminate and cut out, but leave the pieces as one big piece, held together with the laminate! (You can also do this with clear packing tape, if you do need to laminate the pieces individually!) I then punched holes with my crop-o-dile and weaved through elastic string to make the “holders” for the mini notebooks to fit in, and to close it up!
Now I get to fill them and keep my little notebooks cozy and together!
