Tips for Designing Coordinating Pages with Cheryl
Hey y’all! It’s Cheryl @watchcherylscrap sharing a couple of digital layouts with the new Moonlit collection by Traci Reed Designs. This entire collection is magical, and it was perfect for some nighttime photos taken on my 25th wedding anniversary back in 2018.
I knew these layouts would be sitting side by side in my memory album, so I deliberately chose pieces that were either identical on both pages or very similar.
For instance, both pages include the same mixed media piece which was predominately white. I was able to insert the paint so that it helped ground my photo clusters as well as provide a place for the eye to rest when viewing the layouts.
You can also see that I used the same or similar flowers in my clusters. I used a horizontal ribbon on the first layout, but on the second layout I used horizontal stitches. I utilized a variety of stars on both pages and those helped bring continuity to these pages.
Finally, I used the premade titles and placed them on top of the largest photo on my page. This is a great way to include a title on a page with loads of photos and embellishments. I also included two different selfies and placed them on top of the larger photos as well.
I still have at least 50 photos left to scrap of our 25th anniversary, and I love that the Moonlit collection is so huge with a variety of papers and embellishments to allow me to scrap each page with originality yet continuity within the album.
