Make an ADORABLE Sequin Shaker Spine Mini Album with Becky!
I got the idea for this album from Aanal Shah on Pinterest. I decided to use the Sunkissed collection as it is the perfect collection for documenting a summer’s day. The first thing I did was to print out five of the 6x4 patterned cards - you could do a lot more if you wanted extra pages in your album.
I then scored these cards at 3” along the long edge and folded them in half and stuck them back to back to form the booklet. I then stuck some double sided tape the front, spine and back and added some ribbon to this to be a tie closure.
For the spine I took some acetate (not too thick as it needs to bend easily, mine was from around a scrapbook collection pack) and cut it to 4” square. I then added tape on all 4 sides and then at 1” from each side to make a channel in the middle. To this channel I added the sequins.
To seal the sequins in I added a further piece of acetate, 4”x2.75”, on top of the spine area. The whole acetate piece was then wrapped around the booklet and stuck to the front and back pages.
To make the covers I added a 3x4 journal card to the front and a plain card to the back and decorated the front cover with a sticker from the collection.
To finish the spine I added some pompom trim.
I reduced the size of some of the journal cards to use inside the album and added stickers from the collection too.
I have a quick video walk through of the album below if you’d like to have a look!
This was quick and easy to make, only taking me a couple of hours, so why not give it a go! If you do don’t forget to tag @tracireed and me too (@beckyinstacreative) as I’d love to see your album!
