Pretty Prints With Chantal - Quick and Easy Embellishing Techniques

Hi Hi Chantal here with another blogpost.

In this post I will show you an quick and easy 6x8 page.

It’s for me the perfect size to make a quick little project when I don’t have so much time or to use some leftovers after printing.

Because I print at home I don’t print the entire collection. Usually when we receive a new collection I go true it and in my mind I start thinking about projects I want to make. When I have a plan I start to print the papers and pictures I need.

For the embellishments I use 2 different approaches. Sometimes when I’m not sure what I want to use so I just print and cut all of them. And sometimes I have a set plan in mind and know what I need.

In this case I printed all the embellishments so I had a ton of leftovers from the newest collection Felicity. I also had this cute picture of me and Nick so I decided to go for the blue embellishments.

The only thing I printed for this page was the background and one 3x4 card. I love how Traci added a paper with a mixed media look. It gives the page a lot of interest without extra work.

I like to add embellishments in a cluster instead of lose pieces spread out over the page. Foam tape is my best friend to give the clusters some extra dimension.

This page took me an half hour and was a perfect little project between some chores at home.
