Hello and welcome to the sixteenth edition of our fun series: Mix It Up Monday! Today we’re combining Equinox and Goldenrod, two beautiful fall collections with similar vibes, but in completely different color palettes!

Trish, Nicole and Theresa took on the challenge of combining these two collection and I loved reading about how they approached it!

Goldenrod is one of my favorite autumn collections, and I knew as soon as I saw the beginning things for Equinox that they would blend beautifully together. I used them together in my planner in Goodnotes to create the page for September. I leaned into the similar colors and fall vibes and left out some of the more Halloween-leaning things from Goldenrod.

Hey all! Today is Mix It Up Monday and we are working with the new Equinox collection and the oldie but goodie Goldenrod collection. To start this layout I used mixed media from the Ellies of both collections and printed it on a white 12x12 cardstock. I printed out wood slices, Bingo card, black flowers, plaid star, and notebook card from the Goldenrod Ellies for embellishments. To add extra embellishments I used blue flowers, buttons, leaf stickers, a heart sticker, and 2 butterflies from the Equinox collection. I kept this layout a little simple but it has a beautiful impact on the viewer!

I absolutely adore fall and could not wait to create with Equinox! And when Traci asked us to put it together with Goldenrod, I couldn’t get signed up quick enough! I just knew the colors would blend perfectly together. I have been printing everything on vellum with both of these collections, and so that is the first thing I did for this layout. I used the delicate blue floral from Equinox to use as my monthly divider for September in my 2023 Life Crafted album. The September card floats beautifully on top of another bit of crumpled up vellum and I added just a few leaves from Goldenrod to embellish. All of the colors I used on top of this vellum are repeating colors from the layout underneath, which is a fun monthly layout for September vibes. I’ve pulled digital mixed media from both collections and blended them on top of that gorgeous blue ledger from Equinox. I’ve also used one of the stamps from Goldenrod to declare this a season of change. I just know you are going to enjoy putting these two together too!
