December of Memories 2021: Hybrid Holiday Decor

For these cute little houses, I used the new “Village collection” dies by Tim Holtz/Sizzix (665564). I am a huge fan of inks and paste so combining that with this Candy Coated Christmas Collection was a real treat. For the base of the houses, I used some white heavystock paper to make them sturdy. Then I covered everything with the printable papers from the collection.

I used the basic house and church with no additions. I added a few Christmas trees which you can buy at your local store or garden centre. I painted the log with green distress paint and covered it with fake snow. For the path I used the 3D cobble stone folder, also by Tim Holtz/Sizzix (665375) and I covered it with ink and icicle texture paste.

To decorate it all I printed the car and the sweets in the tree from the collection and I added a snowman and deer which I painted with distress ink.

I found a small branch outside which are cut in little pieces. Logs for a fireplace! You don’t always have to buy things to decorate your creations. Be creative!
