Gratitude Album Foundation Pages by Theresa Using the Goldenrod Collection!

Hi friends, Theresa here! Welcome to the brand new Goldenrod release! This collection has your name on it especially if you love fall! You will find this kit gives you tons of options for all the ways you scrapbook. As I opened this collection I realized how hard it was to pick favorites to print, so I decided the collection needed its own album and I printed it all. I had a travelers notebook binder from Citrus Twist and decided that would make the perfect home for a November Gratitude project. That is what I want to show you today, how you can set up a gratitude album from one printed kit!

I’ve done quite a few daily projects over the years, where you document one story per day, with one photo, for an entire month. This will be my first November project, and for me creating foundation pages has always been an important part of these projects to help me complete. You don’t have to finish the album within the month (I’ve probably only done that once with December Daily!) But it can be a lot of fun to sit down before the month begins and start laying out the structure of your album. I have a pretty basic formula I like to follow: two days on each spread with some sort of transparency, vellum, or even a cut file in between. You can always change things out as the month goes along, but the basic framework is there so throughout the month all you need is a photo and your journaling each day. The Goldenrod kit has some gorgeous numbers, I call them coins, that make it super easy to number your days in the album.

For this album, I printed out all of the travelers notebook papers and signatures from the kit, and all of the journal cards. There are three sets of journal cards in this kit! After printing and cutting, I then created groupings based on the colors in the cards, so I had a pile of coral/orange, black/white, mint/teal, and of course goldenrod. Those groupings became an easy start to each page, and help with the decision making. All of the elements of this kit are so beautiful, trust me it was hard to choose where to begin! I pulled a fun transparency from my stash for the opening page, and then got started. I did a walkthrough of these foundation pages and shared it on my YouTube, which you can see here:

For now, I have Days 1-11 ready and I hope to create the rest very soon. I’m especially excited for November to begin, so I can add all the things I have to be thankful for in this season of life, along with some of my favorite photos. I may use photos from throughout the year, or I may try to take daily photos, I guess we will see how the month goes. If a daily project isn’t right for you, you could also create a top ten album, or even stretch it throughout the year and add to it any time. I look forward to coming back real soon and sharing progress with you. Have a wonderful fall ya’ll!
