Focus On: Galentines
Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy “Products We Love” Tuesday! If you don’t have a Valentine, or if you also have a Galentine - then my Galentines collection is for you - and it’s 50% off for the next 48 hours!
Galentines is one of my favorite Valentines collections because it celebrates the kind of love we all need in our lives - the love of a good bestie (or multiple besties!) In fantastic and cheerful shades of red, hot pink, and black, Galentines is so bright and fun and a blast to work with!
The team has rounded up some AMAZING new inspiration using these older collections that prove that just because a collection isn’t new this year, doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate into your albums!
Becky
Looking through the Galentines collection, the 3 hexagons on the planner stickers sheet caught my eye and gave me the basis for this layout. I knew that I had a die about the same size so I printed out the hexagons from the sticker sheet a few times and then printed a couple of the 6x4 cards which I used to cut more hexagons out with.
I used a piece of pale pink cardstock from my stash and placed the hexagons in a pleasing pattern on top of that! I backed my photo with a 6x4 card and one of the TN papers and placed it on top of the hexagons. It was then a case of choosing which stickers I wanted to use to embellish the layout with! As well as elements from the sticker pack I also printed and cut some of the flowers and leaves from the digital kit and layered them up to give dimension.
Some of the stickers I raised up on foam pads too. I kept to all red and pink with just a tiny pop of blue and the green leaves. I finished with my journalling in the labels, a title using some letter stickers from my stash and some Nuvo drops for a bit of sparkle.
Leah
I love a good group of girlfriends, and Leah’s celebrating hers with the Galentines collection - I love that she went all-on on that fun word paper in the background! Galentines may seem busy at first glance, but I designed it with a TON of white space to contrast all that color!
Stacy
Stacy completed not one, but TWO projects with Galentines, an adorable layout of her daughter and her besties that uses the fun mixed media from the Galentines digital kit.
and a super cute gifting idea that you can hand out to all your besties - wine bottle tags!
Cathy
I love the vibrancy of the Galentines kit with Cathy’s snow photos and all the texture she added with distressed edges!
