Focus On: Beginnings & Endings

Beginnings and Endings is my 2021 “New Years” collection and focuses on closing one chapter and opening the next. In beautiful neutrals with pops of seafood, blush, butter and cobalt, Beginnings & Endings is the perfect collection for gently scrapbooking new goals and continued passions.

Trish

Trish revived this beautiful collection and emphasized its painterly feel with her page that has nothing at all to do with goals and New Years, showing off the versatility of the collection! I love her use of triangles on the page to contrast with soft lines of the painted background.

Caroline

Caroline’s hybrid page using Beginnings & Endings is SO neat! She wrote a letter to her daughter and inside each envelope (all made from papers from the collection) she tucked in bits and pieces from the collection with affirming messages! So sweet!

I love the vellum “divider” layout page between the two sets of envelopes as well…genius!

Erika

Oh my goodness! I never thought about this collection in terms of a new baby, but how perfect is this layout from Erika for this precious photo of her toddler & newborn? I die!

I’ll let her explain her thought process!

In creating this page, I wanted to make a slight shift over to the monochromatic world. That way, my favorite part (the rainbow) would shine! I selected 2" squares of black and white paper from this collection, and layered them in a diagonal manner. I made some light blue splatters and peachy squiggle clouds for some extra fun. Lastly, I mounted some of the included phrases, along with my photo of our newest family addition, onto foam adhesive tape for dimension. I also added some dashed line faux stitching around the squares for more of a pop from the black. I hope this page inspires you to scrap today!

Melinda

Melinda chose to use the Beginnings & Endings collection in her memory planner - which is perfect because the collection has planner stickers already ready for you - and I love her mix of all that gorgeous journaling, color, and embellishment…plus that vellum pocket is super cool!
