Happy Sweet Steals Tuesday! Do you feel Spring in the air?! It’s starting to warm up here’re - no more snow on the ground! - and I’m celebrating the return of the butterflies with one of my most soft and beautiful Spring collections - Aflutter! The textures and colors in the Aflutter collections are just magnificent for so many different pages - as you’ll see from the examples below!

The gorgeous colours & graphics in this collection make me immediately think of Easter & Spring. Which is funny because Easter is NOT in Spring in Australia, however, so often colour can spark memory so I just embrace it! I chose to document one of our family Easter traditions (2024 was the 11th year!) which is to set a “bunny trap” - think of a not so smart coyote trying to catch a road runner and you’ll get the idea!! Each year the title of my page is “The Great Bunny Trap YEAR” so I grabbed some fun alphas from my stash that work beautifully with all of the fun colours and patterns in the Aflutter collection. I’m excited that another year is documented and am very much looking forward to what our trap will look like this year!

The Aflutter collection has beautiful colors and I wanted to use all of them! So I made a grid layout with a lot of embellishment and a little hand stitching. The button paper inspired me to use a lot of buttons in my layout. I went perfectly with my summer photo.

I decided to work with an A4 canvas for a change with this page because I really wanted to showcase the gorgeous ombré distressed wood paper. I had such fun piecing this together and then layering on top of it with a few delicate florals and word bits from the sticker pack. At the very end I decided I wanted to try faux stitching on my finished layout!! Yes - the finished layout - not a stress because with hybrid scrapbooking I can always re-print if I don’t like something!! It means I get more creative and experiment with techniques. So glad I did because LOVE the look on the favourite paper of mine!!!!

I'm convinced my husband finally let me get a dog because he knew that the boys would not be sitting still for pictures much longer... and I would need a new subject! (Too true!) I've now become that girl that scrapbooks pictures of my dog But it also lets me use some of my favorite "girly" products on pink pages that make me smile. I'm obsessed with that rainbow woodgrain background like everyone else... and the FLORALS in this kit! I love them so much.

Aflutter is back and it is one of my all time favourite collections! I am so jealous of all the northern hemisphere people going into spring because this is the best spring themed collections. I decided to document a winter story for Addelie’s baby album using the pocket page cards and I love it!
