We couldn’t let Love Month pass by without an ode to love, but with topics such as soup, selfies, judo and cats, Melinda, Chantal, Kaye and Vanessa prove that romantic love isn’t the only thing you should be documenting during love month! Check out their takes on the them “For The Love Of…” below!

Chantal - Wildflower

Our Fay loves Judo. She took her first lesson when she was 4 and at age 11 she stands 5 hours an week on the mat.

For this page I choose the yellow tones from the Wildflower collection. Fits perfect with her yellow band in the picture (she is an orange now but I love this picture so much). For the background I used the packaging technique with 2 tones of yellow oxide. Added some stamps and I printed the embelishments on clear sticker paper so you can see the mixed media through them. And I love how that looks. Definitely will be using the clear stickers more often.

Kaye - My Person

Ever since the new year my iPhone has made a collage of all the selfies my husband and I took in 2022! I loved it and knew one day it would make a good spread so the theme “for the love of...” was the perfect time to do it. “For the Love of Selfies” was the perfect title and then the kit My Person went so well with this theme. I blew up two of the heart circle stickers and printed them out on vellum for some texture behind the pictures along with using the paint brushes on my background to make this spread more exciting! The last thing I did to make this spread pop is added glossy accents to the alpha to give it that bubble look. It was so fun working with this kit!

Vanessa - Autumn Enchantment

When the Autumn Enchantment collection was released last year, and I saw the “I love soup season” sticker I immediately knew a soup layout was going to happen. The theme for February being “for the love of…” made for the perfect time to document my family’s favorite homemade pumpkin soup. The Autumn Enchantment collection is perfect with the beautiful fall color palette and icons that help give you the warm cozy feeling you get with a great bowl of soup. I added just a bit of hand stitching to give the layout a bit of texture and I love how it turned out. I hope this layout inspires you to document something unexpected that you love this month. I can’t wait to see what you all create.

Melinda - My Person

Gosh, I could have done about a thousand pages with the "For The Love Of..." theme but I finally managed to settle on this pair of photos!

We've had our cat Zeus for longer than we have been human parents so when we first brought home our 1st child we were really unsure how Zeus would take to him. Over time he grudingly accepted the presence of this small, noisy, needy human and then we brought home a second lol

Hubby and I had many conversations over our concerns with him & our human babies but it seems that over the 13 years of having to tolerate the small humans he has also come to love them. Some days, grudgingly, as you can see in his eyes in these photos lol but loves them none the less. The gorgeous My Person colour palette worked perfectly with my photos and the sentiments paired so well I simply couldn't not use them!
