December Daily 2021: Day 7 | Seven Reads of December
You know your girl has to get her themed-read on AND document it! It’s one of my favorite traditions in these kinds of albums and this year I’m reading SEVEN holiday books (I’m already through 5 of them - hooray!)
I started this page with a vague idea and it was fun to see my “book tree” come to life! All the photos are from the author’s instagram because they’re much better at doing book flat lays than I am!
The “intro” to the page is another floating embellishment cluster (I’m digging that this year) on acetate! I used this large 7 from Color Cast Designs over patterned paper from the Candy Coated Christmas Collection + a doily to make the visual impact just a little greater.
When you flip the page, you reveal the book tree + my journaling on the back of the cluster because you know I hate seeing the back of things. I really like the way it interacts with Day 6 as well. The two stories are separate but related, so it works really well.
I “decorated” my tree lightly with the lights border from the Candy Coated Christmas Collection and numbers + stars from the Cocoa Daisy Winter Twilight collection. It’s a pretty simple page with a big, fun impact!
