December Daily 2020: Day 11
Hello Hello Hello and welcome to day 11 of my December Daily! Today I have a fun layout all about my reviews of the holiday albums that dropped this year! I’m not HUGE into listening to nonstop holiday music this time of year, but I thought it would be fun to see what’s on offer in 2020 and scrap about it!
I had the back of one of my Cut file pages I made in a December Advent video to work with and I thought it would be PERFECT for a record! Then I wanted to make something fun and interactive on the right with the album covers, so I created little pockets and have the journaling hidden on little pull tabs behind each cover!
Fun fact: Office Depot and other office supply stores print on laser printers at their copy center, so if you print through them, you don’t need your own laser printer to foil with a laminator (or mine machine!). I used black foil for the record on this page to make it shiny and gold foil for the star! I topped it off with some older gold alphas from freckled fawn for the perfect vibe.
For the album covers, I mounted each cover on its own cardstock pocket (check out the process in the video, it’s easier than you think) and then printed my journaling on little tabs I created in my silhouette software that were sized perfectly for this project.
Lastly, I used a fun Catherine Pooler stamp set and went to town cramping and fussy cutting my own little embellishments for this page! I’m not awesome at stamping, so to keep myself from messing up my page, I stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and then treated each stamp like a diecut instead!
