Hey friends! It's Allie from Allie Scraps, and today I want to share something special with you. I've been using three-ring binders for various scrapbooking purposes, but this time I wanted to create something fun for my “study binder” for my church's sermon and study series called Keys to Freedom. So, I dove into the' latest collection, Over the Moon, and put together a fun binder that not only keeps all my study materials organized, but also makes it fun to use (and look at!)

I printed out all the materials (there was a lot!) and organized them in my binder. There’s a lot of pages I needed printed for the 8 weeks, so keeping everything together in one place was a must for me. This way, I can easily access my notes and follow along with the sermon series at church, since it will be during the week, as well as on Sundays.

Personalizing the Front Cover:

To make my binder “match” the study (called “Keys to Freedom”), I wanted the front cover to showcase the theme of keys. While the paper I used wasn't from the collection, I converted it to match the colors. [You can download the key paper for free here!] Traci’s latest designs in red, white, and blue gave it a lovely Valentine's Day feel that I absolutely adore, but that won’t be too “dated” when I use it past February.

Creative Pages and Pockets:

To add some more decor and function to my study binder, I laminated Kraft card stock and used it to create different pages and pockets. I glued a traveler's notebook page and a photo mat, providing space for me to tuck extra notes in there, and I’ll probably use this as a “landing spot” for extra sticky notes etc, because I will be able to pull them right off of the laminate.

To make those pockets extra sturdy, I laminated the decorated page first, without the pockets, and then laminated the sheets I was using to make the pockets separately-- then used clear packing tape to tape them on-- but I left some of the top/sides open so they could be used as pockets!

I did want the kraft/ decorated dashboard page to be easily moved around within the binder, so after I laminated it and punched the holes with a 3 hole punch, I cut down the middle of each of the holes, so that I can slide the dashboard in and out without having to unlatch the binder every time.

Trading Card Pocket Pages for Extra Space & Inspiration:

To create more room for additional resources and personal touches, I incorporated mini pocket pages-- or trading card pages -- into my binder. Some of these little cards in the pockets are part of the new Over the Moon collection, while others are from older collections like “Smitten.” I added coordinating Library of God cards and might include some matching prayer quest cards too, as the study goes on. These little pockets are perfect for storing notes and reminders for me.

Extra Planner Pages:

I couldn't resist decorating some of my prayer planner pages with the fun elements from the Over the Moon digital kit. I did leave some of the Sermon Notes and Prayer Journal pages “plain” but made sure they had coordinating colors!
