Cheryl - Candy Coated Christmas
Gone are the days when I used to fret about not being caught up with my December Daily layouts. Now, I relish my process no matter when it happens, meandering through Lightroom and looking at all the photos I took, reliving the moments, as I decide on the photos that will make it onto my canvas. This creative session I chose a photo of my cat, Holly Belle from Christmas Day 2022. We adopted her in December 2010, so she's our Christmas cat. Her name is part Christmas (holly) and part Southern (belle). I usually have at least one photo of her like this in the midst of the wrapping paper aftermath, so it's a page that will end up in multiple years. I decided to use a word strip "ho ho ho" along with an alpha to create my title "ho ho ho Holly Belle."
TIP: I use Lightroom for photo management. After I'm done editing my photo, I'll color label it with purple. This alerts me that the photo has already been scrapped.
Tracie - Candy Coated Christmas
Every year I start out the holiday season thinking that I can keep current with my December Daily pages and every year the holidays get crazy and it doesn’t happen. So, here I am in July, working on pages for my album.
My Tip? Go simple! I tried a new size for 2022, 10x8, and I decided to go more minimalist. Stamps help me keep that minimalist look and Traci’s Candy Coated Christmas has great coordinating stamp sets. For my first layout, I used both the December Days and the Sentiment Stamps…
For my second layout, I added a bit more from this collection while still keeping a clean line feel to it all…
Candy Coated Christmas is such a versatile collection, I’m sure it’ll be used a few more times while I work on completing my album!
