December Daily 2022: Day 1
Hello and welcome to my December Daily 2022 album! I love this beautiful project so much year after year and I’m super stoked to be embarking on it once again!
This year, I’m mixing and matching 5 different collections that I already used to create stress-free foundation pages as well as pulling in older things from my stash. I may combine some digital techniques as well as offer some freebies throughout the month, so check back in!
My goal is simplicity in storytelling as well as maybe, possibly, trying to fit my December Daily in a SINGLE Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted Album!
Day One
Day one is all about the hot cocoa bar my mom gifted us on Thanksgiving. Our tradition is always to decorate the tree on the day after Thanksgiving while watching a Christmas movie together and I had already been contemplating setting up a hot cocoa bar, so when my mom handed over this box she had created for us, complete with completely darling matching cups, it as like she had read my mind!
I used the back side of the album intro page I created on day 1 of my stress-free foundation pages series, which was about Traveler’s Notebook size and paired it with a (2) 3x4, (1) 4x6 pocket page.
December Daily 2022 | Day 1 Process Video
I adore large photos in my December Daily, so I couldn’t resist enlarging the hot cocoa photo to full size. I used the CD Frost and Frolic Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and Modern Memory Keeping Kit (sold out) for this page and added chipboard, stamping, and enamel dots directly to the blank spaces in the photo.
I had an “extra’ photo for this page that I wanted to use, but didn’t want to create a flip up because I wanted it to be visible at all times, so I decided to use one of the frames from the Frost & Frolic Kits + a brad to create a sort of swinging photo attachment to the bottom left hand corner of the page. I wanted to make it move because it covers up some of the darling hot cocoa photo, so this way you can swing it around and see the full photo.
On the pocket side, the 4x6 incorporates one of the 3x4 cards I made in my Stress-Free December Daily Prep Day 4 Video with a photo of said hot cocoa bar and title. I added stamping here via an older cocoa daisy number stamp set and more snowflakes + enamel dots to make it coordinate with the large photo.
Lastly, I created a 3x4 card with a photo of myself and my mom from Thanksgiving using one of the slide frames + a cocoa daisy label from my stash and more stamping!
