Congratulations Shannon! email Traci at thescrapmommy  AT gmail DOT com for your prize!

Since April is National Poetry Month, I thought I’d give you a chance to brush up on the poetry you’ve forgotten–or discovered. This week’s Hawt Mama challenge is to find a poem that is meaningful to you and use the ENTIRE poem on your LO (unless, of course, you choose to do the Rime of the Ancient Mariner). Use one by a favorite author or one you, your SO, or kids wrote. It doesn’t matter as long as it’s a poem. That’s it!

Check out what the Hawt Mamas came up with. Their layouts are…well…HAWT!

First is Shannon with a poem by Shel Silverstein. Isn’t that photo gorgeous?

Credits: He Loves Me by Traci Reed and Robin Carlton, available the Sweet Shoppe; Label Alpha by Cristina Renee.

Tracy used one of Traci’s latest kits, Teenage Wasteland, to created this layout. This poem perfectly describes busy little toddlers.

Credits: Teenage Wasteland by Traci Reed and Lauren Grier; 321 Blast Off by Traci Reed, both available at the Sweet Shoppe; Imperfect Circles Stitching by Dani Mogstad; Date It Stamp by Heather Roselli; Nature Bits by Cori Gammon; Font-SP You’ve Got Mail; poem author unknown.

Mish chose to use a Psalm for a poem, which is perfectly legal, as the Psalms were meant to be sung. I love how much energy her page has.

This beautiful page by Sara also uses scripture, this time from the New Testament.

Shel Silverstein makes an appearance again in Jenny’s layout. I’m so glad that she chose this poem–I’d forgotten what a great one it is.

Amy recorded a treasured childhood memory in this page. The poem she chose is one her father recited to her when she was young.

I chose this poem by Wordsworth because it reminds me of England (I lived there while I was in high school). Daffodils are one of my very favorite flowers, and England is simply covered with them in the spring.

Credits: Papers from Crazy Funky Cool; frame from My Shining Star; ribbon from Ain’t No Sunshine; all by Traci Reed and available at the Sweet Shoppe. Stitching by Syrin; eyelets by Gina Cabrera; sequins by Rachel Young; paper tears by Pink Poodle Studios.

Have fun playing!
