Happy Veteran’s Day! It’s Fairon here, to say on behalf of the Hawt Mamas that we are so very thankful for all of our country’s veterans. We want to share with you some of our very own!
Mrs. Hawt Mama herself, Traci, has a brother in law who is currently stationed in Afghanistan. Trevor serves in the Army.

Traci’s grandfather, Chelsea Branson, was also a veteran, serving in WW2 and Korea as a B52 pilot.

Heidi’s husband, Jim, served in the Army. He was involved in a horrible parachute accident, but thankfully he survived and is alive and well today!

Sergeant Loran Berck, Heidi’s father, was an Intelligence Research Specialist in the United States Air Force Security Service as a Bulgarian Linguist.

My husband, Staff Sergeant John Minshall of the US Army, served in Iraq just a few years ago.

We are so grateful for our loved one’s service, as well as the service of all United States veterans. Do you have any veterans close to your heart?
Jennifer here, popping in for a little Veteran’s Day surprise. In honor of the service men and women deployed around the world, Traci is co-sponsoring Scrappers Give Thanks. This charitable card-making challenge helps heroes write home to their families in partnership with Operation Write Home.

To help you participate, we’ve got a freebie hybrid card project for you today using Traci’s adorable A Lot Like Love kit. It is the 4th in a series of free templates to make this challenge simple and fun!

All you need for this project is 2 pieces of card stock, scissors, glue and a color printer. This is truly a hybrid project even a beginner can tackle! For all the challenge rules, the full list of sponsors and bonus tips on hybrid projects, visit the Scrappers Give Thanks site.
